Usufruits in the Channel Islands: The 1854 Guernsey
"Ordonnance": The "Rapport" of 14th January, 1854
summarising the customary law at that time, and confirming that a
usufruit applies both to movables and to immovables.
The position is similar in Jersey, the two bailiwicks
have separate laws based on Norman custom as evolved. Please
