Usufruits in the Channel Islands:  The 1854 Guernsey "Ordonnance": The "Rapport" of 14^th January, 1854 summarising the customary law at that time, and confirming that a usufruit applies both to movables and to immovables.   The position is similar in Jersey, the two bailiwicks have separate laws based on Norman custom as evolved.  Please see our resources page.
